June 5, 2008 Update:
So here we are coming into summer, and
we have had a few races. There is still plenty of time to get your car
out and enjoy some fun at the racetrack. We started out with a great
night at Susky, but it ended quickly as the rain came pouring down.
Susky Make-up: The rained out feature
from Susky is being made up on June 21st. There will be a
feature event for the make-up and then a full night’s schedule. All are
welcome.
Secondly, the time is here to start thinking about the banquet, which is
earlier this year and will be held on October 4, 2008 – mark your
calendars. If you or anyone you know would be interested in sponsoring
any of the evening’s awards, please let Willie know.

before racing begins on June 21st at Susky. We would like to
take your pictures.
Water, Water Everywhere!: We have
thought about having a dunk tank during the Lattimore Valley Fair, which
is June 27 – 29. We need volunteers to help set-up, tear down, and run
the booth, as well as volunteers who would be willing to get wet by
sitting in the tank. Please let Willie or Amanda know by June 11th,
if you are willing to volunteer and help. If we do not get enough
volunteers, we will not be having the tank.
Hesston: We are in the middle of
conversations with Hesston, and we believe we will be getting two races
there. As soon as we have the dates, we will let you know.
T-Shirts: There are 2007 championship
t-shirts still available. If interested, please contact Willie.
Note: Please disregard the helmet rule
that was in the previous newsletter. We are in the process of working
on that and want to fine tune it before passing it as a rule.

Annual Penn-Mar Vintage Race Car Club picnic and camping weekend at
Lattimore Valley Fairgrounds is September 26-28.
