News Update 4/28/08:

KRICKBAUM GETS ROBBED-BACCHUS, COGHILL, and SPENCER SCORE WINS

Susky's surface was as fast as I've seen, as Amanda Coghill and Willie Brymesser set the lineup....On the pole Rick Pastor with Fred Krickbaum outside, Paul Bacchus third, Larry Felty forth, Jeff Gamble fifth, Glen Pobblets sixth, Alan Pahulick seventh, Stan Hawk eighth, and (sportsmen), Bill Spencer ninth, Craig Coghill tenth, and John McGarvey eleventh.

At the green, Krickbaum in a 37 Ford coupe jumped way out in front and set a blistering pace with Felty running on the top of the track in second, Pastor, Bacchus, and Gamble all ran together for a period then Bacchus and Gamble made low passes under Pastor as Alan Pahulick in his spotless Gremlin spent the first half of the race making moves around Glen Pobblets in the Pee Wee Poblets 36 Pontiac coupe and Stan Hawk in a replica of his dark blue 37 Chevy coupe. Sportsmen Craig Coghill led flag to flag in his 41 Chevy coupe, followed by John McGarvey worked out some bugs in his new 41 Plymouth coupe, and Bill Spencer hung in there real good with his fullhouse flathead Ford coupe.

A lap 10 caution as Bacchus and Felty in his super sportsman 30X90 went for the same piece of real estate resulting in crew chief Lamar telling Felty to park it for the night. On the restart, a two lap shootout, Krickbaum and Bacchus ran the inside when on the final bend for the checkers, Krickbaum slipped up on the track only 1/2 car width, Bacchus was ready to find moisture down against the guard rails and Bacchus edged out Krickbaum by only inches at the flagman. First and second place drivers did not know who won untill the next time at the flagmans stand. A close third was past Champion Jeff Gamble that couldn't get a good break all night and was very fast in his Troyer Gremlin, forth went to Rick Pastor in his Ford sedan Parma chassis modified as Alan Pahulick was right there on Pastor's bumper for fifth at the flag, Followed by a good run, Glen Pobblets sixth, and Stan Hawk seventh, and (sportsmen) Craig Coghill eighth, John McGarvey ninth and Bill Spencer tenth, getting my vote for the night

Heats to Krickbaum and Coghill

News Update 4/9/08:

FELTY & COGHILL VICTORS IN SEASON OPENER

A special THANKS goes out to Tricia, Tom Martin, and all the employees of Hill Valley Speedway for the effort put into the track preparation, so that we could race......

Amanda Coghill set the lineup, as Craig Coghill in a 41 Chevy coupe started on the pole, Larry Felty in his super sportsman 30X90 on the outside, Fred Krickbaum in a 37 Ford coupe, third, forth Paul Bacchus in a 40 Chevy coupe, and fifth, Rick Pastor in his 70"s Parma/Vicky sedan.

The first several laps, Coghill and Felty traded the lead until Felty took the point for good and put a considerable distance on the rest of the field. Krickbaum made his way around Bacchus then Coghill, and Bacchus with Pastor on his back bumper also passed Coghill about mid-race. Ending his dry spell it was Lightning Larry Felty by a margin followed by Krickbaum with Bacchus on his back bumper and Pastor only a couple lengths behind. Sportsman winner, Craig Coghill, was wrenched by Willie Brymesser, attributing to a good solid sportsman win. The Hard Luck award goes to Ed Cutshall in his 38 Chevy coupe as he suffered suspension problems and could not start the feature. Past champion Tom Swanger was on hand to tech our cars for safety.

See ya all at Susky
